Who are Reserve Constables?
 

In BC there are approximately 100 Reserve Constables, hired as federal government contractors. On-duty Reserve Constables hold the powers and authorities of police officers, and serve in uniform and plain clothes.

What do Reserve Constables do?

BC RCMP Reserve Constables have a wide range of knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and must maintain their fitness for duty. Reserve Constables provide commanders with a flexible resource option in filling short-term staffing vacancies, for example:
