Once the face off was completed, a skating race commenced. Safety Bear appeared to be a little groggy, possibly from still not being fully awake after hibernation. Safety Bear will be in full training mode and practicing from now until the game on February 22nd to ensure he is ready! The Guns and hoses both have 1 win under their belts since the pandemic, so this should be a good game with hopes the Guns will retain the trophy. However, the big winners are always the kids and their local sports clubs. Ensure you come out to support your community on February 22nd. Doors open at 6 pm, game starts at 7 pm. Admission is by donation.
If you have any information of crimes that have occurred in the Kitimat area, and would like to report it to the police, you can report through Northern BC Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You will stay anonymous and if your tip leads to an arrest, you may receive a reward of up to $2000
