Cram the Cruiser. The Lake Country RCMP has partnered with the Lake Country Food Bank, Salvation Army, and Save-On-Foods from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm for the annual toy drive this season.

In 2022 during Cram the Cruiser there were 189 new toys and 19 used donated that were shared with families in need. Since 2012 over $50,056 in cash or checks and 14500 pounds of items have been donated. We truly appreciate the donations raised by the Lake Country RCMP, states Joy Haxton, manager of the Lake Country Food Bank. Donations raised in Lake Country help make Christmas brighter for local families in need within our own community. Local area food banks have seen a 3 fold increase in requests this year added Haxton.

Please join the Lake Country RCMP and help Cram the Cruiser with unwrapped toys and food donations on December 2nd at Save-On-Foods located at 9522 Main Street in Lake Country.

If you are unable to get to Save On Foods Dec 2 however wish to donate, Lake Country RCMP on Berry Rd and Royal lePage at 10058, Hwy 97 in Lake Country will also be accepting donations from now until Friday December 9, 2023. Unwrapped toys, food and cash and cheque donations for the food bank will be accepted.

Christmas can be a stressful time for families, states Sgt. Jon Collins, Unit Commander for the Lake Country RCMP Detachment. This is our way to give back to our community when they need it the most at this time of year, added Collins
