On Thursday August 24, 2023, a report was received of a discovery of human remains in an area off of the Copper River Forest Service Road.
Police have examined the scene where the remains have been located and have located items that have assisted in the identity of the remains.
Police and BC Coroners Service believed the remains to be that of a man reported missing in July 2022. While the investigation is ongoing, there is no evidence to suggest the death was a result of foul play.
The family has been advised and there will be no further details released.
