On August 7th, at approximately 2 p.m., a frontline officer was dispatched to attend to a motor vehicle collision past the ten mile slide area, north of Lilooet, on Highway 99N.

The officer entered into an impaired operation of a motor vehicle investigation, in which the driver, a 36-year-old woman, from Kamloops, BC, was detained.

Charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and operating with over 80mg% of alcohol, are being submitted to the BC Prosecution Service. The woman was later released from custody on an upcoming court appearance.

There were no injuries sustained as a result of the collision.
