Oceanside RCMP are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed an alleged assault on a child which occurred in Parksville on May 3, 2023.
At approximately 4:25 p.m. on May 3, 2023 Oceanside RCMP were called to a report of an assault near the intersection of Alberni Highway and Dunbar Way where a two-year-old child is believed to have been assaulted by a caregiver.
Investigators believe a motorist who saw what happened may have stopped to render assistance but left before police arrived and could speak to them.
If you were the motorist who stopped or happened to be in the area and witnessed the incident, investigators would like to speak with you,
says Sergeant Shane Worth of the Oceanside RCMP.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Oceanside RCMP at (250) 248-6111 quoting file # 2023-4351.
