Check well being

2024-2148

On September 25, 2024 a caller in Lillooet asked for a check well being on a man slumped over in the driver seat of a black Mitsubishi vehicle while parked in a parking lot behind a local business. Lillooet RCMP members located the vehicle. BC Ambulance Service were already present and had assessed/spoken to the driver who was outside of the vehicle, he stated he was simply taking a nap. There were no further concerns. 

Assault

2024-2157

On September 26, 2024 a man in Lytton reported to an RCMP member; a week prior he was punched in the face by his brother. The man believed his brother was suffering from mental health related issues and reached out to family for support. No charges or further action was sought, but the report was documented as requested by the man.

Truth and Reconciliation/Terry Fox Run

On September 27, 2024 Lillooet RCMP members and a Stl’atl’imx Tribal police member joined Cayoosh elementary, George Murray elementary, and Lillooet Secondary school students in the Truth and Reconciliation Day/Terry Fox run through town.

Mistaken Airbnb

2024-2189

On September 30, 2024 a caller reported a possible home invasion in progress citing that someone was trying to gain entry into her home in Lillooet. Lillooet RCMP members attended and located a woman outside the front door who identified herself to police without issue, she advised she was working in town and attempting to enter her Airbnb booked by her employer. There was no suspicious observations or concerns. The incident was deemed to be a misunderstanding.

Intoxicated in public

2024-2207

On October 3, 2024 a man advised an RCMP member in Lillooet that there was a man passed out by the sidewalk on Main street down the block from him. Lillooet RCMP located the intoxicated man laying on grass with a partially consumed vodka bottle next to him. The man was visibly intoxicated and had no place to go. He was arrested for being intoxicated in public and spent the night in the drunk tank and was released the following morning when sober.

Stolen trailer

2024-2210

On October 4, 2024 a caller reported that his 2015 Forest River bumper pull travel trailer had been stolen out of his driveway off of Airport road just after midnight on October 4, 2024 in Lillooet. The matter is still under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Lillooet RCMP, please reference Lillooet-Lytton RCMP file 2024-2210.

Assault

2024-2209

On October 4, 2024 BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) requested police assistance in attending a residence in Lytton to check on a man. Lytton RCMP members attended the residence with BCAS and located a mother and son in the house who were both intoxicated and had incurred injuries after a dispute was had amongst them over who owned the alcohol. The mother did not seek charges; however, the son was arrested as the aggressor for assault and transported to Lillooet cells where he was released when sober. The matter is still under investigation.
