Vehicle thefts spike across the Sea to Sky

In a follow up to Sea to Sky RCMP – Whistlers’ release from April 25, 2024, Sea to Sky RCMP are still seeing a trend of vehicle thefts, and thefts from vehicles throughout the corridor.

On the morning of May 9, 2024, Sea to Sky RCMP – Squamish responded to a report of a stolen vehicle taken from a residential property in the Paradise Valley area. Police were able to quickly respond and locate the vehicle approximately 15 minutes after the report was received in a rural location. Police arrested the two suspects located with the vehicle. The female suspect was well known to the Sea to Sky RCMP – Squamish with this being her fourth arrest for similar offences over the past few days. The suspects are held in custody and awaiting a court hearing.
