Richmond RCMP seeking witnesses to road rage incident that resulted in shots being fired.

On June 28, 2024 shortly before 6:15 p.m. Richmond RCMP attended the 5500 block of Hollybridge Way for a report of shots fired. According to the victim, he was driving his white Mercedes van near Alderbridge Way and No 3 Rd. when he was cut off by a White Kia. The victim advised he pulled next to the vehicle at the intersection of Alderbridge Way and Lansdowne Rd. and shouted at the driver. According to the victim, the passenger in the Kia responded by allegedly shooting at him with a gun. The Kia then drove away and was last seen travelling Eastbound on Lansdowne Rd.
Fortunately, the victim was not hit by any bullets, however, he suffered injuries from the shattered glass of his driver’s side window.

Richmond RCMP frontline officers flooded the area and identified evidence consistent with a shooting.

This was a reckless and brazen act which could have caused serious injury or worse to the victim or any pedestrian or motorist in the area, says Inspector Michael Cohee, Officer-in-Charge Richmond RCMP Investigative Services and Community Engagement, We will go to every length possible to identify those involved in this grievous criminal act. We are asking anyone that was in the area at the time of the shooting to contact us.

Richmond RCMP is seeking witnesses or dash cam footage from anyone who was travelling in the following area between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on June 28 to contact police:
