The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is looking for the public’s assistance identifying a person of interest in a theft investigation.

On Jan. 11, 2023, around 5:20 p.m., the Kamloops RCMP Detachment received a theft report of a business cellphone at a commercial location on the 1100-block of Columbia Street West. Since then, the investigator has received surveillance from the store, but has not been able to identify the person of interest pictured.

The person is described as:

• female
• in her 30s
• red hair
• wearing a white hoodie and black jacket

The image is quite good and we’re hoping that the person in it, or someone who knows them, will be able to contact police so that we may further the investigation, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.
