Police seek to identify suspect in home invasion

Coquitlam RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a home invasion suspect which sent one victim to hospital.

Coquitlam RCMP frontline officers responded to a home invasion to a residence near Dawes Hill Road and Warrick Street in Coquitlam at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. An unknown man had entered the residence, which was occupied by several residents, when he assaulted one of the residents before fleeing. An adult man suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital.

The incident appears to be targeted and isolated.

The suspect man can be described as:

• Caucasian
• Balding
• Brown mustache
• Hazel eyes
• Medium build

The male suspect was wearing:

• Long black dress jacket
• Dark jeans
• Dark lace up shoes with white soles

We are asking who may recognize this man or may have seen this man in the area of Warrick Street and Dawes Hill Road between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 to contact our investigators, said Media Relations Officer, Corporal Alexa Hodgins. We are also asking anyone who may have video surveillance or dash-cam video in this neighbourhood to contact the Coquitlam RCMP and quote file number 2024-5739.
