Burnaby RCMP looking to identify suspect after assault near Metrotown

The Burnaby RCMP is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect who assaulted a stranger near the Metrotown Bus Loop on Friday, November 10, 2023 shortly before 12 p.m.

The victim, who is in her twenties, had just left the mall and was standing near the bus loop when a woman who was not known to her approached her without saying anything, hit her, grabbed her hair and pulled her to the ground.

The suspect then walked towards the Metrotown SkyTrain station.

Burnaby RCMP is releasing images of the suspect and is appealing for information from the public as they look to identify her.

The suspect is described as:

While the victim was thankfully not injured, we want people to be aware of this incident, and to call our investigators if they have information on the suspect’s identity, said Cpl. Mike Kalanj with the Burnaby RCMP.
