Burnaby RCMP would like to welcome the community to join local police officers for ‘Coffee With a Cop’ on Thursday, March 23, 2023.

Coffee With a Cop is a unique way for police and detachment staff to connect with Burnaby residents over a casual cup of coffee, courtesy of the Burnaby RCMP.

The March 23 event will include a rotation of police officers and staff from several areas of the Burnaby RCMP, including the detachment’s Community Response Team (CRT), a unit which provides community policing services with a focus on crime reduction.

We value this organic way of meeting residents in a casual and relaxed environment, where it’s easy to have a conversation said Insp. Peri Mainwaring, Burnaby RCMP’s Officer in Charge of Community Programs. Community-based initiatives like this can help break down barriers between police and the public, so please consider dropping by for a cup of coffee. We are here to listen, to answer questions, to discuss public safety, and to further strengthen our relationship with the community.
