
Burnaby RCMP arrest suspect in 2018 hit and run

Burnaby RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team have arrested a suspect in a 2018 hit and run.
On Sunday, March 4, 2018, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the 7400-block of Gilley Avenue. The 68-year-old pedestrian was transported to hospital in critical condition.

Burnaby RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) took conduct of the investigation.
Last week charges were approved against 70-year-old Lyle Fraser.
Fraser was arrested yesterday. He faces one count of failure to stop at the scene of an accident involving bodily harm.
Four years after this incident, the victim is still recovering from their injuries,
says Corporal Mike Kalanj with the Burnaby RCMP. We are pleased that this file is now before the courts.
