Burnaby RCMP appeal for witnesses, dashcam video after serious collision on Boundary Road

Burnaby RCMP investigators are appealing for witnesses or those with dashcam video after a serious collision on Boundary Road that happened around 10:20 p.m. on Thursday, September 16.

A white Honda Civic travelling northbound with a man and woman inside collided with the back of a garbage truck that was parked in the curb lane of Boundary Road near Moscrop Street.

The man and woman inside the 2018 Honda Civic suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries in the crash. Both victims are in their thirties. The parked roll-off style garbage truck was not occupied at the time of the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Impairment is not believed to be a factor.

Our investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have seen the crash or seen the white Honda Civic before the collision. We are asking witnesses or those with dashcam video to contact police, said Cpl. Mike Kalanj with Burnaby RCMP.
