Burnaby RCMP is investigating a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian

Burnaby RCMP frontline officers continue to investigate a hit and run collision that has left a man with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
On the morning of February 1, 2021, officers responded to a report of an injured man at the intersection of Marine Drive and Patterson Avenue.
The victim, a 30-year-old man, exited a transit bus, then while attempting to cross Marine Drive he was hit by a vehicle and lost consciousness. After approximately a half hour he regained consciousness in a ditch on the side of the road. He managed to call for help and is now recovering in the hospital.
The incident occurred between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
This has been quite traumatic and painful for the victim. Says Corporal Mike Kalanj of the Burnaby RCMP.
