Burnaby RCMP investigating stabbing

On April 20, 2020 at approximately 8 p.m., Burnaby RCMP received a report that a stabbing had taken place in the 3700-block of Venables Street in North Burnaby.

Upon arrival at scene, frontline officers located a 40-year-old male with serious non-life threatening injuries. At this time, it is believed that this incident was targeted.

Burnaby RCMP's Investigative Support Team has assumed conduct of this investigation and are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed this attack. Police are also aware that a suspect vehicle was seen fleeing the area at a high rate of speed and want to speak with anyone who may have seen a vehicle being driven erratically in the area at around 8 p.m.
