On March 7, 2020, members and staff of the Burrrrrrrrnaby RCMP will be supporting Special Olympics BC by plunging themselves into the freezing water at Kitsilano Beach as part of this year’s Vancouver Polar Plunge.
The Vancouver Polar Plunge raises funds to help support Special Olympic’s sport programs and competitions for more than 4,800 individuals with intellectual disabilities in 55 communities around the province.
Burnaby RCMP has been fundraising for the event through raffles and other initiatives at the detachment, which raised much needed funds for Special Olympics BC.

- 11:00 a.m. Opening Ceremony
- 11:45 a.m. Plunge
