Police looking for owner of lost firearm

On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, Prince George RCMP received a report of a found firearm near Highway 97 North and Noranda Road East. The firearm was located on the side of the road in a camouflage fabric case along with a small quantity of assorted ammunition.

Police recovered the firearm and the ammunition and will keep it at the Prince George RCMP Detachment while we attempt to locate the owner, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

If you believe this firearm may belong to you please bring proof of ownership, including serial number of the firearm and any further identifying features, to the Prince George RCMP Detachment. Please quote file number 2024-11105.
