On Saturday, June 10, 2023, at just after 10:00am, the Fort St John RCMP received a report of a break and enter which had occurred overnight at the North Peace Secondary School.

The suspects made entry to the school by smashing a glass window at the teacher's entrance.  The suspects then made their way to the offices, causing significant damage to the main office area of the school and the principal's offices including broken doors and smashed windows.

Three suspects were observed on surveillance video, entering the school at 3:25am.

The third suspect is described as: 

The suspects are believed to be NPSS students as they appeared to have been familiar with the school layout", said Constable Chad Neustaeter, Fort St John RCMP Media Relations Officer. "I would encourage the individuals to take the opportunity to turn themselves in at the police detachment as soon as possible.

The RCMP believe that parents of the suspects and potentially many other students from the North Peace Secondary School are likely to recognize these youth and are asking them to call police.
