Burnaby RCMP seeks dashcam video, witnesses after collision that left a pedestrian in critical condition

Burnaby RCMP is investigating a collision that sent a pedestrian to the hospital in critical condition.
On Sunday, March 30, 2025, just after 5:45 p.m., Burnaby RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian near Hastings Street and Rosser Avenue. It was reported that a 5-ton truck was travelling west on Hastings Street and was making a southbound turn onto Rosser Avenue when the collision occurred.
The 64-year-old female victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the truck remained on scene and has spoken to investigators.
Burnaby RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) has assumed conduct of the investigation.

Police are asking anyone that witnessed the incident or may have dashcam video in the area of Hastings Street and Rosser Avenue between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 30, to please contact the Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999 and quote file number 2025-10513.
