Richmond RCMP will proudly raise the Pride flag at our detachment on Monday, June 3, 2024, to mark the beginning of Pride Month. This event supports our ongoing commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and community engagement.

Pride Month is a time to celebrate the progress we have made towards inclusivity while acknowledging the work that still needs to be done, said Chief Superintendent Dave Chauhan, Officer in Charge of Richmond RCMP. Raising the Pride flag is a symbol of our dedication to creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone, especially our 2SLGBTQIA+ members, employees, and broader community.

Richmond RCMP is actively working to promote sexual and gender diversity through our National Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion strategy, and support from the RCMP Pride Network. This includes initiatives aimed at supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ employees and fostering safer spaces within our community.

The flag will be displayed through the month of June at the Richmond RCMP detachment, located at 11411 No 5 Rd, Richmond, BC, and Richmond RCMP City Centre CPO located at 6931 Granville Ave. We encourage the community to join us in spirit by celebrating Pride Month and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community.
