Maple Ridge, B.C.- On May 25, 2024 the Joint Forces Foundation will be hosting the 1st Annual Ball Hockey Jamboree at Planet Ice in Maple Ridge.
RCMP Cst. Rick O’Brien paid the ultimate sacrifice after his on-duty death shook the communities of Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows and Coquitlam on September 22, 2023. To honour Cst. O’Brien’s legacy his wife, Nicole O’Brien, established The Joint Forces Foundation.
Rick's two greatest passions in life were youth engagement and sports. He devoted a huge amount of his life to them.
The Ball Hockey Jamboree’s goal, is to foster understanding, trust, and collaboration between youth and law enforcement, at a meaningful and inclusive event.
The Joint Forces Foundation’s mission is dedicated to creating a lasting legacy of positive engagement, encouraging ongoing dialogue, and fostering a sense of shared responsibility for the well-being of our communities.
