File # BCHP Squamish 2023-3837

On June 30, 2023 at approximately 8:00pm, an officer with BC Highway Patrol – Squamish was conducting speed enforcement in the area of the Porteau Cove Road overpass on the Sea to Sky Highway # 99 Northbound in Squamish, BC. The posted speed limit on this stretch of highway is 80 km/h.

The officer noticed three Porsche cars approaching his position at an extremely high rate of speed and established that the first two vehicles were traveling at a speed of 195 km/h, with the third Porsche traveling at a speed of 146 km/h. The officer managed to have all three drivers pull over at a safe location, where their vehicles were promptly impounded for one week.
