Burnaby RCMP Break and Enter Task Force announces a major arrest and the recovery of a large quantity of stolen property.
Task Force leader, Staff sergeant Andy Leclair, today announced the arrest of one of Burnaby's most prolific break and enter suspects. A joint project between Burnaby RCMP and the Vancouver Police Department had targeted Michael Jonathan MICKELSON (38 years) for his continuing involvement in the world of property crime. We regard Mr. Mickelson as a "career criminal". This is his profession. It's how he makes his money.
Warrants executed on Mickelson's residence netted a large amount of stolen property, not all of which has been identified. Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying items which may have been stolen during various break-ins throughout Burnaby and Vancouver.
Mickelson was arrested on February 15, and faces charges of;
1. Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence
2. Possession of Break and Enter Instruments
3. Assault Police Officer
4. Flight From Police
If you can identify any of the items shown here, please contact the Burnaby RCMP B&E Task Force at (604) 294-7922.
