Burnaby RCMP investigate multiple reports of mischief in the 3700-block of Elmwood Street.

On Saturday, October 3rd, 2020, just before 9:30 p.m., Burnaby RCMP responded to a mischief report at a residence in the 3700-block of Elmwood Street. An unknown suspect had placed a garden hose into an open window on the main floor. The hose was discovered quite quickly, however; water damage was noted inside the residence. No suspect was located at the time.

Two and a half hours later, at approximately midnight, Burnaby Fire Department reported a propane tank on fire in front of the same residence. A few trees sustained damage. There were no injuries resulting from the fire.

Police also discovered a slashed tire on two separate vehicles related to this residence.

These types of incidents can cause a lot of damage and potentially injure members of our community," says Corporal Mike Kalanj of the Burnaby RCMP. We are asking that if you have any information that can assist in this investigation, please contact us.
