Burnaby RCMP investigating weekend shooting

Burnaby RCMP’s Investigative Support Team (IST) is continuing to investigate a shooting which occurred on Saturday night in the 5200-block of Imperial Street.

Just before 8 p.m., on Saturday August 22, 2020, Burnaby RCMP Frontline officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Imperial Street and Royal Oak Avenue. Upon arrival at scene, police located shell casings and bullet holes at the back of a business in the 5200-block of Imperial Street. As of yet, no victims or suspects have been located.

Police are continuing to investigate with a focus on speaking with witnesses and gathering all available surveillance video footage in the area in the hope of identifying both the suspects and potential victims in this incident.
