IHIT called to Burnaby to investigate homicide

IHIT has been called to Burnaby after an incident at a residence which resulted in the death of one man, and left a woman with injuries.

Just after 7:00 a.m. on June 29, Burnaby RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of a home invasion inside a residence in the 7600-block of 17th Avenue. A second victim, a female, was located with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is believed to be targeted.

IHIT has been notified and has assumed conduct of the investigation. Further details will be handled by the IHIT Media Relations Officer.
