Police requesting public assistance in identifying fraud suspect

Help from the public might be the key to identifying a suspect and solving an investigation of fraud and theft that resulted in extensive damage to a rental property.
On March 26, 2020, Coquitlam RCMP received a report from a rental property owner who told police that a suspect used a false driver’s license to rent an apartment. It was reported that thousands of dollars worth of belongings including appliances, baseboard heaters, a fireplace, chandelier and thermostats were stolen from the apartment, leaving extensive damage inside.
The landlord gave police the following description of the suspect:
- A man who appears to be Caucasian,
- Approximately 167 cm (5’6) to 172 cm (5’8),
- Short brown hair with blonde highlights,
- Thick beard approximately 10 cm (4) in length,
- May go by the fictitious name of
